Inventory Consideration
Please read the following information in full prior to filling out the request form.
A little background
We know writers work hard on their craft, and we do as much as we can to support that work. With this in mind, please know we receive multiple requests each week from authors - for us to carry their books, and/or for us to host them for an event.
We have worked hard in our first years of being open to learn which types of books and events honor the effort, time, and money of both us and the author, and will make decisions accordingly.
Eligibility for inventory consideration
A book must have a valid ISBN and barcode printed on the book.
A book must have a clear title and author name on the cover AND the spine.
A book must be available from Ingram with a minimum 25% discount with free freight. It is the author’s responsibility to understand if their book meets these terms.*
Images and text on the book’s cover must be crisp, with no pixellation at all.
*If you are a self-published author, please fill out the form, but know that we are limiting the number of consignment books we are able to sell moving forward.
If you are an Amazon-published author, as an independent bookstore, we are no longer accepting any new Amazon-published work.
Additional information
Pearl’s has limited staff who review author requests. It usually takes about two weeks for us to get back to you, and longer during the holiday season (October-January).
We do not accept walk-in author requests or book drop-offs.
We do not set up phone calls or video chats to discuss your book.
